As we get to know each other and continue seeing each other for a long time, she starts opening up to me about various personal matters as well. Among other things, she’ll tell me that she went out to eat with her boss to discuss work, or went out for a meal with a client as part of her sales work. She says there aren’t any other men, so what do you think is going through her mind when she tells me things like this? It makes me feel kind of unsettled. If she didn’t tell me, it wouldn’t bother me at all. I find myself wondering whether she trusts me, or something like that. I’d appreciate answers from women as well as everyone else.

Universe Tokyo, Mamiya, here to answer. She probably doesn’t mean any harm when she talks about it, but perhaps she’s checking that she’s loved by seeing whether the male member gets jealous. Another possibility is that she actually has a boyfriend and brings up men she doesn’t care about to hide that fact. Popular women are never short of attention from men, so perhaps her attempts to gain the male member’s trust by insisting she’s innocent are backfiring.
