Ladies, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve successfully asked for? If you didn’t ask for it, feel free to share the nicest gift you received, too ♡ I’m thinking of asking my generous papa (a well-paying supporter) for a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra at our Halloween gift exchange…

I’m Tetsu, a male member. I’m not the type to give gifts—I’m kind of stingy, haha. When someone says they want something, I lose the desire to give it to them. But if they don’t say anything and I get the feeling they’d be happy to receive it, I’ll give them a present. Would you call this kind of personality contrarian?

I’m Kazu, a male member. If a woman openly asks me for things, I immediately start thinking about ending things. That said, I once gave a woman I met through Universe a gift worth around ¥50,000. I won’t say what it was, to avoid being identified, like Sana does, but it was extremely practical. She had been making an earnest effort to get by without buying it, so I decided to give it to her. Seeing how happy she was to receive a gift she hadn’t expected made me feel happy too.

I’m Marika, one of the female members. It was a small racing car that could also be driven on public roads—one of those cars used in one-make races, where everyone races identical cars. I never asked for it, and when we broke up, I returned it—or rather, I left it behind. The same person also gave me a ROLEX watch and a Tiffany ring, which I still have. I don’t really use them, though. I didn’t ask for those either… To be honest, I’m not very materialistic myself. If you don’t keep saying you want something, they seem to just offer to give it to you. I’m always impressed by people who are good at asking for things. I’m guessing momo has some amazing stories about this. Looking forward to them!
