There seem to be many wonderful married women. I’d like to make an offer, but I feel the risks may be significant. What do you think? I’d like to hear from male members who have offered to meet married women, as well as from the staff.

I’m Rin, a female member. Perhaps it’s because I’m constantly receiving unconditional, limitless love from my children, while as a parent and a wife, I also put affection before anything else… I believe marriage is built on mutual forgiveness and acceptance, so men may find that kind of openness comforting.

I’m Gaku, a male member. If you ask whether there are more wonderful married women, I’d say there are—but I can’t say for sure that the ratio is higher than among single women. That’s just my personal impression. In my case, through Universe, I’ve met several women who were listed as single on their profiles but turned out to be married when we met. I just worked it out, and they make up about 20%. I imagine the percentage is even higher on apps and other platforms outside Universe. As far as looks go, I chose all of them myself, so there were no issues—they were all lovely women. That said, I get the impression that married women, or those who have been divorced at least once, are often kinder even to an ordinary middle-aged guy like me. They also tend to be easy to talk to and enjoyable to spend time with. However, I recently offered to meet a 20-year-old who was single, and we had a great time even when we spent the night together. So my conclusion is that you really can’t know until you meet someone. I don’t think being married necessarily means the risks are much higher.

I’m It’s Me, a male member. I’ll answer from the perspective of a married man. Once the man is married, I don’t think the risk changes much whether the woman is single or married. If anything, when it comes to the risk of developing serious feelings, I’d say two married people are less likely to end up that way. Personally, I feel more at ease with married women. When both the man and woman are married: 1. They naturally develop an equal sense of being partners in crime. 2. They can both be considerate of each other without forcing it. 3. Once the date is over, they each have somewhere to return to. Since they’re on equal footing, there are many things they can understand about each other. That said, rather than focusing on whether someone is single or married, I think people differ more in their attitudes and behavior, so I don’t pay much attention to whether a woman is married. I don’t think it’s unusual for two married people to continue seeing each other without any trouble at all. On the other hand, even two single people could end up in a lawsuit for completely different reasons. Among the female Universe members I’ve met, both the single and married women have truly been wonderful people. That said, if someone told me, “There are a lot of wonderful women among the married members,” I’d have to agree!

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. Of course, there are significant risks, since you could potentially be sued. But if you can resolve those issues, I think it could become a really wonderful arrangement—one that makes you want to see each other again soon.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. The first person I met was a woman in her mid-thirties who had children, was married, and worked as an office employee. From my impression, her children seemed quite young, so it looked like her availability would mainly be around her days off and during the daytime. She also seemed mindful about keeping the relationship discreet, so I didn’t think there would be any particular issues. More than the potential risks, though, my first thought was, “Universe’s staff are really good at taking photos!” (lol) Also, since we were both well past our younger years, I thought it might be nice to have some interesting conversations, so I emailed her. She responded rather vaguely, and I found myself thinking, “What are you trying to say? Just be clear!” But after two or three days, she started saying all sorts of outrageous things however she pleased, then quit the site on her own. I wish she’d at least stayed until we had resolved things through a proper discussion (lol).

I’m a male member who goes by Paper Airplane. I’ve always thought obstetrics and gynecology clinics were places with a surprisingly high number of beautiful, cute women. So, if you look at the fact that these women were able to get married, that may be part of the reason. That said, if we’re considering appearance alone—regardless of personality, housekeeping, or cooking—and also taking into account the fact that they join a club, I don’t feel that factor is particularly relevant.
