Much like women often don’t really know what other women do, men generally don’t know much about what other men do either, so I’d be interested in hearing from female respondents.
Generally speaking, I would think the basic practice is to shower—or take a bath—afterward, so I doubt many people use alcohol sanitizer. If most people do, then I suppose I was simply unaware…
That said, it does seem strange to use alcohol sanitizer without taking a bath.
Perhaps she was the type of person who, due to extreme cleanliness concerns or something similar, couldn’t use baths outside her own home, couldn’t normally touch doorknobs or subway straps, and immediately used alcohol sanitizer if she did touch them.
