I took a woman in her 20s from a high-end dating club to Sushiro for our first date, and she looked visibly disgusted. After we finished with a natto roll, I casually mentioned, “I have around 300,000 stock options that the owner here gave me about 20 years ago, but it’d be a shame to leave them sitting there,” and her attitude completely changed. Should I avoid dating this woman?

I’m Saito, a column writer♪ As you said, it’s pretty questionable. Still, a woman with enough of a dominant streak to say, “Why Sushiro, though? Were you trying to show off?” might have been interesting too. There are all kinds of women, which is what makes this fun—but her reaction was so predictable that it must have been incredibly boring. I’d say it’s best to leave her alone. lol By the way, what was the woman’s going rate? Since she seemed interested in money, I wonder if it fluctuated wildly like a stock price, with quite a wide range…
