Papuwa, Romane, and Marika, you all write in a clear and beautiful style—sometimes even cutting, yet never unpleasant. Could you tell us about your favorite or most-loved books?

I’m Marika, a female member. Other than books related to my work, I don’t read much. I don’t watch many movies either. But for some reason, every now and then I get into a certain author and read several of their works in a row. One of those authors is Teru Miyamoto. I also like *Nishiki-shu*, the book Papuwa mentioned. A little while ago, I saw Iera Ishida hosting an NHK program about classical music, which made me curious about the kind of novels he writes, so I read several of them. For some reason, I really got hooked on the balance between the violent scenes and the classical music. In the end, though, I like music more than reading.
