Is there any chance that my past registration could eventually be discovered if someone hires a private investigator? (I’ve already cancelled my membership.)

That said, regarding you, the person asking the question, I imagine the client would ask them to find out what is going on “right now,” wouldn’t they? In that case, they wouldn’t spend a huge amount of money investigating excessively far back into the past. They don’t waste resources. Basically, private investigation agencies’ priority is making sure the client is satisfied.
