I’m BB7, a male member. Do you mean you lost a woman (or man?) you met through a dating club? Losing someone you became so deeply attached to that you felt you’d never meet anyone like them again can be incredibly painful. You don’t have to force yourself to forget or try to cheer up quickly. Time will naturally help. As you build new experiences through work, other hobbies, trying something completely new, or meeting other women, you’ll gradually come to terms with what happened. I once lost a woman outside of a club whom I felt was truly one of a kind, and I was so devastated that I nearly became depressed. Now, I feel lucky that I was able to meet someone who seemed irreplaceable.

This is Saito, the column writer♪ When you’re put in an environment where you have no way to escape, I think there’s only so much you can do, no matter how much insight you gain. As everyone has said, it’s okay to take care of yourself, slow down your pace of life just a little, think things through, or even do things that seem meaningless. Taking a different route than usual or going on a trip might help, too. You don’t have to force yourself to move on. Maybe it’s enough to accept these feelings as an unavoidable part of life.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. > How do you cope when you lose someone you feel you’ll never have another chance to meet? In my case, whenever it was a person I’d lost, I tried reaching out again. I thought they were a good person, but I also believed there were other good people out there. In reality, some of the people I thought were good weren’t really that good, and although I thought there were other good people, there weren’t. The only exception was my mother—I couldn’t stop crying and could do nothing but wipe away my tears. I once took an exam with an age limit and failed the second stage. I was truly devastated, but I kept working toward the next exam. I tell myself that the result is the reason I am who I am today.

I’m Seattle, a male member. I’m going to let it go and focus on making money. If I throw myself into work, I’m sure something good will come along again. Time heals. There’s no point in drinking yourself into oblivion and ruining your health.
