The reason it was made into a rule is explained in the information URL Kazu-san provided, and there’s nothing beyond what’s written there.
That said, staff had already been hiding women’s profiles individually after dates for some time. However, men often complained, and some staff would give in to those complaints and leave the profiles visible. There were also cases where staff happened to be busy and forgot to hide them.
I assume the company formalized it as a rule to ensure fairness.
Still, the additions saying, “We’ve changed it to 10 days later,” and “We’ve changed it to 20 days later” really show the struggle against complaints from men.
Personally, I think it would be fine to do it the day after the date instead of waiting 10 or 20 days, but apparently that’s difficult.
A lot of men don’t register their own photos or keep their profiles private, yet you can almost see the attitude of, “But I’m paying, aren’t I?”
Imagine if women were required to have their photos taken at the club. They might be made to pose strangely or even wear swimsuits, and staff would choose the photos, so they wouldn’t be able to choose them themselves. If they didn’t upload a photo, there would be over a 90% chance their offer would be rejected.
I wish they would think about how they’d feel under those conditions. Besides, once you start seeing someone, you can talk to them directly, and once you become close, I’d think they could at least get a photo from the other person…
Of course, many men agree without complaining and behave like gentlemen, so I want to make clear that the above applies to only a small portion of men.
Oh, and pressuring women to leave is against the rules. However, even when women contact us about it, we can’t force the men to leave, and I’m sorry about that.
It seems fair to say that a second offense should result in forced removal, though.
