I didn’t use the term “LINE dating,” but I assume it refers to the option of having a letter-style date via LINE. You pay the club a setup fee, and the woman and man can communicate through LINE. That’s all it is—it isn’t really a date or anything like that. If anything, it’s more like corresponding by LINE. Naturally, women don’t get paid just for messaging on LINE. So if a man sends only short messages or isn’t good at messaging women, she may quickly stop replying, and they may never end up meeting. That’s why this system is designed so that, in practice, only men who are good at communicating through dating apps and have never been stood up are likely to actually meet a woman. Apparently, some men think that, just like communicating with the club, they can simply give the woman a date and arrange a meeting. But few women want to meet men like that, so men who send overly blunt, short-sighted messages may be rejected at the LINE messaging stage. For women with Dating Type D, shorter messages might be better, but women still judge what kind of man someone is based on his messages. So, to be safe, men who aren’t good at messaging probably shouldn’t use this service. Incidentally, only men with Black membership can use it. Also, even with regular dates, some men try to negotiate a lower allowance after hearing the woman’s requested amount. From the woman’s perspective, it can leave her thinking: “He talked as if he had plenty of money, but apparently he didn’t feel I was worth it.” “What happened afterward made me feel uncomfortable too.” “Since I agreed to lower the amount, I felt he could have shown me a little more consideration.” “I should have just refused in the first place.” So I can’t help thinking, “If he hadn’t tried to negotiate the allowance at the beginning, they might have continued seeing each other. What a waste… Why make the other person feel bad?” Being considerate toward the woman at all times is, in my opinion, a basic principle of dating clubs. I wish men would understand that this is what sets them apart from ordinary dating sites.

If you find it frustrating to have someone act as an intermediary when arranging a date, try a letter date. The woman will contact you directly, so you can usually finalize the details in just a few exchanges—often in less than 10 or 20 minutes. From the conversation, women can also decide whether they want to meet, helping them avoid wasting time on an unnecessary date. They can get a general sense of the details beforehand and whether you’re considerate before deciding to meet.

Are you referring to Universe Club’s Letter Date feature? Letter Date is a perk available only to Black members, so you won’t be able to use it through the club unless you become a Black member. For more details: https://www.universegroup.jp/portal/ja/kb/articles/letterdateoffer Universe Club operates a papa-katsu app called Patro. On Patro, you can message women directly through an app similar to LINE, arrange the date details, and then finalize the offer. If you want to message female members yourself and make offers, you should sign up for Patro.

It’s a way of doing things where, using a short message like the question itself, you first work out the terms, preferences, and deal-breakers before actually going on a date. Don’t write a long, vague, rambling message. That’s not just bad etiquette in dating—it’s poor messaging etiquette in general. The advantage is that you can discuss things in advance that usually can’t be arranged through a standard offer, such as how much the allowance would be for an adult relationship or what to do during your period. It’s not suitable for people who aren’t good at tactfully drawing out that kind of information in writing.
