Thank you all for your various opinions. They were very helpful. In the past, I caught an STI several times through the club (from receiving oral sex without a condom), so I had told my partner that I wanted to be informed if they started seeing more people. I think I only mentioned it once, though. That’s why I felt even more strongly against what happened this time. I’m sorry that I looked at their social media. They have an account with tens of thousands of followers, so it happened to come up in my feed. I’ve adjusted things so I won’t see it anymore. There were also other things, such as having our date plans changed based on lies that were immediately obvious. I asked, “That’s a little strange, isn’t it? You’re saying something that isn’t true, right?” But they went so far as to say, “I absolutely never lie. You’re horrible for not believing me, ○○!” So I ended up blaming myself, thinking, “I’m sorry I couldn’t believe them.” That’s why this made me think even more, “What is this supposed to mean?” I realize this is an issue stemming from my own narrow-mindedness, so we’ve decided to have an honest conversation and talk it through once more. If I have the chance, I’ll report back. Lastly, thank you all for sharing such a wide range of opinions.
