I have a question about birthday presents for a papa (a male supporter). What should I say to a papa who didn’t give me anything for my birthday, yet asks women for presents on his own birthday?

How about saying, in a cute way, “You didn’t get me anything for my birthday~”? I think the key is to say it sweetly. They might even respond, “I’ll buy you something now—what do you want?” Even if they don’t, at least you won’t have to buy them a birthday present. Then, despite saying you wouldn’t get them anything, you could surprise them with an inexpensive gift, like a pen costing a few thousand yen. (It doesn’t have to be a pen—anything is fine.) I think they’d be happy. There’s a saying about catching a sea bream with a shrimp. A pen is nowhere near as valuable as a shrimp, but what matters is the thought. Since you said you wouldn’t give them anything and are giving them something anyway, I think it’s fine for it to be inexpensive. And if they complain about it, I don’t think you need to give them anything ever again.

I think it’s fine as long as you clearly communicate what you want to say. (Though I do think a papa who asks you for gifts is the worst…) People give presents to their partners and family, after all. If it’s a genuine relationship that’s close to that, I think you’d at least give a birthday present. You can give one even if you don’t receive anything, and if your partner doesn’t give you one, you can simply accept that and continue with a transactional relationship if that works for you. You can still give them something even if they don’t give you anything… For women, receiving a present can really change how they feel about someone, so even if he’s your papa, I think it’s worth trying to cultivate that side of the relationship or take some kind of action to encourage him to do things like that. You only live once, so I think it’s better to make things exciting rather than boring. It’s not just about the allowance or an adult relationship (intimate)—the time you spend together matters too, so I think the emotional side of things is valuable as well.

If you want to keep seeing him, why not give him some sweets that are actually inexpensive but look high-end? Though it might be less of a hassle to just end things… Fuu doesn’t give or accept allowances, but I’ve received chocolates and truffles in a small box—like three pieces—that we could eat together in the room. They were cheap but looked expensive, lol. Definitely under 1,000 yen, lol.

I just cheerfully reply, “Oh, but I didn’t get anything either!” (*^o^*) The key is to respond smoothly and cheerfully without missing a beat. Though I ended up giving him something in the end, lol. Sometimes I’m actually quicker to hand it over, too… If you decide in advance what you’ll always give, you won’t have to worry about it.

If the allowance is six figures, just keep him happy without worrying about it. Maybe he just doesn’t like events. If he’s broke, move on.

Surprisingly, the answer’s already clear: “Come on—you didn’t give me anything when I was with Miyuki (not her real name)! Don’t you think that’s a bit shameless?” Depending on Papa’s response, please choose one: punch him square in the crotch, or unzip him and take it in your mouth.

Why don’t you think that through yourself? If you don’t use your brain, it’ll get rusty.
