It’s only natural that appearance plays a role.
In the U.S., trials use juries—ordinary citizens who deliver the verdict—so when you compare cases involving serious crimes, young, attractive men and women apparently tend to receive lighter sentences.
Even in school, the cute girls in the “popular crowd” get fawned over. Whether they’re idols or hosts, unattractive people simply can’t make as much money.
For women, age is another factor on top of that.
This is just my personal opinion, but I’m glad I was born a man. I’m more popular now than at any other point in my life. I’m in my late forties, with social status and money, and although my looks have faded a bit, I’m now at an age where I can compete with a youthful appearance and a clean, well-groomed look（笑).
Even before getting into the subject of male members at Universe, are you aware that people often say, “Beautiful women have it easier” in general society?
And is that actually true? There have been many studies investigating that very question.
A study by a research team at the University of California found that attractive women in the workplace earned 12% more than unattractive people, while average-looking people earned 7% less than attractive people.
There are other examples as well.
In one psychological experiment involving seven-year-old girls:
● Girl A was cute and attractive
● Girl B was unattractive
During a snowball fight, one girl made a snowball containing pieces of ice and threw it at another child, causing an injury that drew blood.
People were told what had happened and shown a photo of the girl who had pulled the prank. Some were shown a photo of cute Girl A, while others were shown a photo of unattractive Girl B. They were then asked, “Do you think this girl will pull the same kind of prank again in the future?”
The results showed that people were more likely to think unattractive Girl B would do it again than cute Girl A.
In another example, law students took on the role of judges in a mock trial involving female robbery defendants—one attractive and one unattractive. The sentences were:
● Attractive defendant: 2.8 years in prison on average
● Unattractive defendant: 5.2 years in prison on average
That is a substantial difference.
In other words, the idea that beautiful people have an advantage does seem to have a certain degree of credibility.
Returning to papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I think the questioner’s personal experience probably isn’t limited to Universe. The same thing may happen anywhere.
And it seems that spending six million yen on cosmetic procedures has been effective, at least for now.
However, when you see people on TV who have spent huge amounts of money on plastic surgery, ordinary men seem to think that they become more attractive up to the first few million yen, but after that, their appearance just gets worse and worse.
So even though the six million yen has been effective so far, I feel it might be better not to do anything more.
If it were like Galaxy Express 999, where you could obtain a mechanical body, then perhaps you could become the kind of beautiful person everyone considers attractive. But that doesn’t seem possible at present.
As for the tendencies of male members at Universe Club, I don’t know enough to say. However, after PATOLO was created, the men who were overly focused on money—men offering low allowances and generally not very good prospects—moved over to PATOLO. So it seems possible that the better men remained at Universe Club.
For that reason, women who want to meet good men may be better off setting PATOLO to:
“Accept orders only.”
Some men ask women questions, then ignore them even after receiving a reply. Others decide on a date, time, and meeting place, but never submit a date request. The woman keeps that day open because she made plans with the man, only to be left hanging and unable to go on the date.
The man apparently thinks that because he never made an offer, he doesn’t have to honor anything agreed upon in the chat. Personally, I think that’s basically the same as pulling a prank.
And since no official offer was made, the platform itself can’t reprimand him even if the date never takes place. In fact, meeting without an offer would violate the rules anyway.
Because of this, I feel PATOLO may be a difficult place for women.
Of course, women who think it’s better for their hourly rate to go straight to a hotel without even having dinner—like on a matching app, for around ¥30,000—may find PATOLO suitable.
But I don’t think those kinds of women are the ones coming to Universe Club, so I feel that:
“Accept orders only”
would be the better setting.
Would you expect the same allowance for sleeping with Ren Meguro as for sleeping with a short, overweight, bald older man with bad breath and body odor?
If it were Ren Meguro, you’d probably want to sleep with him even if you had to pay, right? Or am I wrong?
It’s only natural that men’s attitudes and allowances may differ depending on the person they’re dealing with.
Personally, I don’t change my attitude, but I definitely change the amount of the allowance.
Isn’t it simply a matter of the connections you made at that particular time?
Maybe after putting effort into your appearance through cosmetic procedures or dieting, you also changed the clothes and makeup you chose, which completely transformed your overall impression.
First of all, they’re called classes, not ranks.
Personally, I don’t change my attitude or the amount of the allowance based on someone’s appearance or class. Whether they’re Standard or Black, my attitude and allowance are the same.
