When I first started papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I tried using an app briefly to see what it was like, but these days I only use a club.
With apps, no matter how many photos you receive beforehand, you never really know what kind of person will show up. At a club, though, you can get a general sense of someone from their photos and videos, so I feel there’s less chance of wasting my time.

I’ve never used dating apps, nor have I ever been interested in them.
Before joining, I wasn’t interested in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) either, so I never looked into any dating clubs other than Universe.
By chance, I happened to overhear a beautiful acquaintance talking right next to me about joining Universe—I knew it was Universe because she mentioned a video. Since you only live once, and I was surprised that it was actually real (I’d always thought there couldn’t really be offers that good—like being able to meet genuinely respectable women), I decided to join out of curiosity, though I was still somewhat skeptical.

I sometimes use apps as well.
Using apps reminds me how valuable interviews at dating clubs are, but I use them when I’m looking for women in areas with fewer Universe members, such as regional areas.

Since the papa-katsu app Patolo is run by Universe Club, quite a few people may be registered with both.
I imagine some papas also use dating clubs alongside other apps like Sugar Daddy.
