I’ve been seeing the same girl for a long time, but she’s never once asked whether I’m seeing anyone else. (I used to have several partners, but now I only have one.) Do any of you get asked about this?

I’ve been asked about it at the first dinner after making an offer, but not every time. Recently, people have stopped asking. If they do ask, I don’t go into detail—I just vaguely say that I’m seeing multiple people. I don’t specifically ask them about it either. But I do tell them from the start: “I’m fine with you having a boyfriend, other papas, or friends with benefits. Messaging me only as often as needed to arrange our next date is fine. I’m a pretty hands-off papa.”

Lately, I’ve been asked that question surprisingly often. I do tell them that I’m seeing multiple people. However, I try not to ask the women the same thing, since some of them will leave me negative feedback for that reason.

I’ve been seeing my favorite girls for years, but they’ve never asked me about it. We’ve never even talked about the allowance. I see my favorite girls almost every time they invite me, so maybe that’s why the subject has never come up. With girls I’ve only met once or a few times, though, I’ve occasionally been asked. I think I mentioned to my favorites and a few others at the beginning that I’ve had several long-term girlfriends. I’ve never told them about the women I meet through the club.

At the first meeting, I introduce myself by saying: “I date multiple women and currently have seven or eight other partners. However, I go on adult dates during both the day and at night, every day, so I have around 40 date slots a month. That means I see each person about four times a month. Some girls eventually move on, so I need to keep filling those slots. Also, I’m divorced and single, but I’ve had a long-term weekend relationship for 20 years, so I can’t go on dates on Saturday nights.” When I mention that I’m seeing seven or eight other women, they seem disappointed, thinking there won’t be room for them. But once they hear that I have around 40 available slots, they seem relieved. Why doesn’t the questioner just say it upfront? They’d probably be happy to hear, “I used to see several women, but now you’re the only one.” Maybe people assume that if the questioner doesn’t bring it up themselves, it’s a topic they shouldn’t ask about.

We’ve been talking openly about each other since we met, so neither of us has to ask again.

Do you mean being in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship? If so, I tell them I have a girlfriend before they even ask. It saves me trouble later. Even if you say you have a girlfriend, young women these days won’t back off.
