I don’t know, but buying a condo in your 30s is honestly the worst, lol.
Even if you get someone else to buy it for you, it’s obvious that the man who paid for it will expect something in return. Yikes—that’s a lot of baggage, hahaha. I get that it probably scores highly in the “extracting money from men” competition, but the risks are way too big and it doesn’t seem worth it. If I were a woman, I’d never do it, lol.
Instead of spending so much time on classical Chinese and classical Japanese in compulsory education, I think they should cut that down a bit and properly teach the basics of finance. There are way too many people who have no idea about liquidity, volatility, and so on, haha.

In my view, this isn’t anything new—it feels like it’s been that way for over 20 years. It’s certainly not the majority, though. The ultra-low interest rates and the fact that people earning over ¥4 million a year had an easier time getting approved for loans probably played a role too.

I can’t speak for the general public, but at least among women doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), it’s not popular at all.
I know I’m one to talk, but if something like that ever became popular, society would be doomed.

Just as Japanese companies bought up American real estate when the yen was strong, these days there are plenty of buyers from places like India and China entering even markets close to home. As prices continue to rise, I imagine many people in Japan are moving to buy as well. Naturally, women—including those around thirty—who expect prices to go up are probably buying too.
This has nothing specifically to do with papa-katsu women…
