Just as I was about to join, I was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma and will have to undergo about six months of chemotherapy.
Of course, I’ll lose my hair, and it will likely take more than a year after treatment ends for it to grow back fully, so I’ll probably be wearing a wig for quite some time.
Even if it’s not immediately obvious, would a woman wearing a wig bother you?
If I register, I’m wondering whether I should wait until my natural hair has grown back to a short or bob length, or whether it would be fine to register once I’ve recovered from treatment, as long as the wig looks natural.
*By the way, I’m planning to buy a black to dark-brown bob wig with bangs.
Along with leukemia, malignant lymphoma is one of the more treatable cancers.
My mother also went into remission after chemotherapy. It’s been seven years now.
If she can convincingly play an actress who keeps fighting bravely, wearing a wig could even be a plus. As long as she’s cheerful, like Ayaka Yasumoto.

What do you want to prioritize?
If you’re feeling well after treatment, I think it should be possible.
Compared with the ordinary world, dating clubs and papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) are worlds you don’t really need to enter in the first place. If there are other things you should prioritize, there’s no reason to even be interested in them.
That’s precisely why, for people who felt the need and stepped into this world, it can be so fulfilling in every way—it’s because it exists outside the ordinary world.
It’s also a place where you can meet truly wonderful women and papas, so if you’re even slightly different from your usual self, I think it would be difficult to reach that point.
Once you’ve recovered to somewhere near your normal condition after treatment, you could start out wearing a wig. If you’re feeling well, you could explain the circumstances later.
That said, when you can meet someone who seems ideal in every way, I don’t think there’s much reason for them to choose a woman whose hairstyle isn’t her natural one.
When you’re dating someone, it’s perfectly natural for a woman to say, “My hair got wet, so I’m going to wash it,” or to wash her hair and remove her makeup before heading home because she’s just going to sleep anyway.
