If you’re concerned about it, you could mention the allowance for a dinner date or an adult relationship (intimate) upfront. The man can then decide based on that, so you won’t waste time meeting someone who isn’t a match. It’s a practical approach. That said, I think quite a few men may get a negative impression because of it.

As mentioned before, if you’re talking about transportation expenses for the first meeting, the Universe Club rule sets it at 0.5–1.0. If she’s coming from far away, I think it’s reasonable to negotiate an additional amount beforehand. The travel portion will probably be reimbursed at actual cost, though.

You’re being way too focused on the money. The allowance for a first meeting is generally set at ¥5,000–¥10,000. Are you a Type C? Do you always expect it on the first meeting? Maybe that’s considered Type D now. Even with a Type D, if you don’t like each other, things can’t move forward. Even if you’re someone who always pursues an adult relationship (intimate) after meeting, wouldn’t it be more polite to discuss it toward the end of the meal? If you come on too strong, it won’t lead to a second meeting. Take it easy and handle things smoothly.

Does the allowance for the first meeting mean transportation expenses? If it’s for transportation, the amount is usually set at ¥5,000–¥10,000. If you want to know exactly how much you’ll receive for transportation, I think it’s fine to ask.
