I’m seeing a woman regularly in an adult relationship, but I recently found out that she used to have a similar regular arrangement with someone else, and I’m shocked. She didn’t seem like that kind of person at all... How can I get over these feelings? For what it’s worth, I plan to continue the relationship.

Even if it happened in the past, I can understand why it would still come as a shock. But this is a place for adult relationships (intimate) involving an allowance, and plenty of women here may look innocent while dating multiple papas (male supporters). A lot of papas date multiple women too, so if you do the same, you won’t become so emotionally attached to just one person. It’s not a good look to fixate on one woman, so try to stop. Once you’re seeing multiple women, you’ll notice the good points—and the little things you’re not so fond of—about each one. It’s more interesting, and you’ll enjoy papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) even more.

I don’t get why you’re so shocked—it happens all the time in ordinary relationships too. The girlfriend you’re dating now has an ex-boyfriend, and they were intimate in the past. That’s totally normal. What exactly feels strange about it?? How to get over those feelings? No idea, lol. It’s me.

I think it would be harder to find someone doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) who has only ever met one person... To help change your mindset, why not broaden your horizons and meet a variety of people?

I don’t understand what’s so shocking, but I think you should reflect on the fact that you were indulging in a foolish fantasy.
