If you think of your allowance as revenue, it really comes down to choosing which market to compete in.
Getting offers as a boyish woman may mean facing less competition. Even if you force yourself to act more feminine, you may still fail to get offers in that highly competitive red ocean. People can see through something that’s only skin-deep.
That said, in the Kanto region, there are venues that cater to niche interests. With a population of 40 million, even an interest that only 1% of people share has a potential customer base of 400,000, so a business can survive. In Kansai, on the other hand, 1% of a population of 20 million is only 200,000, which may not be enough for a venue to succeed. Many people also go all the way to Tokyo, so the concentration of demand in Kanto is undeniable.
If there are enough male members who are interested in a boyish look, I think the competition should be manageable. But if you’re active in an area with few members, it’s possible that you may not receive any offers at all.
If you plan to market yourself through a niche appeal but your home area doesn’t have a large enough member base, it might be better to position yourself as someone who is also willing to go to Kanto.
