About messaging on LINE: Even when I message her about dates or meeting places, she leaves it unread for more than a day, which makes it impossible to plan and really frustrates me. Even after treating her to dinner at an upscale restaurant or giving her a gift, she never sends a thank-you message. This PJ is new to papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) and has a boyfriend. I’ve been telling myself it’s just because she’s Gen Z, but should I point it out to her at least once?

If you’re okay with ending things, then I suppose you could point it out. But honestly, you probably don’t need to give him a souvenir, lol. One of my monthly arrangements has a daytime and nighttime girl. The other day, the papa from the daytime arrangement gave me a souvenir because it was heavy and in the way, lol. I openly tell them that I support my other papas and my boyfriend too, so she handed it to me without hesitation. It was kind of funny. It was delicious, though. To the daytime papa, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, lol. I also have another monthly partner who has a girl who only uses LINE for logistical messages, is a little late every time, never says thank you, and prefers shorter meetings. But her looks and adult relationship are better, so he can’t bring himself to end things, lol. She has other good qualities, so he can put up with it without worrying too much. If you don’t want to end things, you could simply continue as you are and choose to put up with it.

It’s already been pointed out, so I don’t think you’ll gain anything by bringing it up again. Wouldn’t it be better to just let things fade out? Let’s move on.

If you feel it’s something that should be pointed out, then why not point it out? That said, even though you’re paying her an allowance, you’re not her boss, business partner, or long-married spouse. So there’s no guarantee she’ll do as you say. That may be where the relationship ends. I feel it’s a waste to let yourself get irritated. You’re successful, busy, and in your prime, yet you come across as getting worked up over a tactless Gen Z PJ who’s new to papa-katsu. Is that really how an ideal supporter should behave if he wants to be liked by his PJs? I don’t think so. I think you should look for someone you can tolerate even when she’s slow to reply on LINE. Fortunately, the papa-katsu market is saturated with women, making it a buyer’s market where papas have the upper hand. Women are looking either for money or for interaction with a financially comfortable papa. When a woman messages you, you should have enough composure to leave it for two or three days, consider your response, and then reply. Since you’re also providing an allowance, her desire to meet you is considerably amplified beyond your inherent appeal alone. After meeting a few times, you could say something like: “You understand me well by now—including my financial means and everything that comes with them. If you want to see me, message me yourself. I’m busy and may not be able to reply right away, but I’ll always respond to your request.” In other words: “Ask, and it shall be given.” To do that, perhaps you could offer to meet promising women through the club, see them a few times, and then simply leave the LINE connection open without actively contacting them. If you want to meet women at a consistent frequency, you’ll need to try a certain number of them. Once you go beyond that number, though, you may get so many messages that you’ll genuinely become too busy to reply to all of them, no matter how hard you try. Best of luck. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Gen Z tends to decide within seconds whether to reply or leave someone on read. If you’re going to pursue a relationship, you’re better off with a woman who replies right away. Since women in a club receive an allowance, they’ll usually reply as soon as they notice your message. If she doesn’t, then judging from the way you’ve worded this, it might be worth reconsidering your entitled attitude.

I don’t think pointing it out will do the person asking any good. It will only lead to a sad ending. Only bring it up once you’ve accepted that you’re okay with parting ways with her. First, find another woman you’re close with. Then you can point it out.

Leaving casual conversation aside, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to move on if they don’t reply about scheduling within 24 hours. People who are slow to respond usually have plenty of other options, so you’re pretty low on their list of priorities. Pointing it out won’t help, so look for someone else.

Sorry, but unfortunately, I don’t think women are particularly happy about being taken to upscale restaurants or receiving souvenirs, nor do I think they’re especially grateful for them. I’m an older guy myself, so this is also a reminder to me, but women aren’t going to be happy receiving things they don’t really want. Instead of taking her to an expensive restaurant, you could increase the allowance by ¥20,000–¥30,000, or buy her a CHANEL accessory instead of a souvenir. She’d definitely be happy and send you a thank-you message. At Universe Club, which has several thousand women registered, you can look for someone whose values match your own. But since you’re already making the effort, I think it could also be worthwhile to work on developing the ability to genuinely make wonderful women happy. I’m sorry if this comes across as rude, but I feel this may actually get to the heart of the matter.

If it were me, I’d simply end things without pointing it out. I wouldn’t want to continue seeing someone who irritates me, especially if I had to give them an allowance.
