If you’re not satisfied with 8 and feel that 10 would be better, I think it’s fine to tell him that. Someone willing to offer 8 would probably offer 10 for the first meeting. However, the arrangement won’t continue unless he feels you’re worth 10.
Once I’ve confirmed that I’ll receive an allowance, I decide whether I can spend time with the person based less on his financial means and more on his looks and personality. I think it over and decide whether we could have a good relationship.
If we can continue seeing each other long-term, he’ll keep giving me an allowance—or rather, it may even increase—so I’m not the type to go for a short-term win.

If she’s 18, has black hair, and is overweight, I’d be fine with 10, too.

The allowance is open to negotiation, so feel free to set your own terms.
Why not simply say, “I can’t do anything under 100,000 yen”?
It depends on the person. Personally, I’d turn it down even at 80,000 yen, though…

What do you think?
Personally, if a woman asks for 6–8, I immediately turn her down, saying, “Sorry, I only do 5.”
I have tried meeting someone asking for 10, wondering how amazing she must be. In the end, there was no way a woman asking for 10 would be twice as wonderful as one asking for 5, so we parted ways after a few dates.
That said, even now, when I hear “10,” I do stop and consider whether I’d want to meet her as much as I’d meet a woman asking for 5—twice.
So, using only myself as a sample: I turn down 6–8 every single time, but I turn down 10 about 90% of the time. In other words, I’ll agree to 10 about once in ten cases.
I’ve thought about why I reject 6–8 immediately, and I think it’s probably because I don’t like the stinginess I’d feel if a woman offered an allowance broken down into overly precise amounts like “.5.” It just doesn’t match my vibe.
As an aside, come to think of it, I’ve never heard anyone ask for 9(笑).

I don’t think there’s much difference between 8 and 10.
If you feel you’re worth that much, I think you should go ahead and ask without hesitation. If someone is willing to continue seeing you for 8, then I don’t think 10 would make that much difference either.
That said, if it’s only a one-time meeting for 8, I do think you should think it over carefully.
I don’t have a desired amount—or rather, I can’t bring myself to name one. At most, I can say something like, “I used to receive this much before…”
I feel the other person should be the one to decide the amount.

This doesn’t really concern me personally, but to give you a serious answer…
If it’s true that you’ve never been turned down when asking for 8, then you probably wouldn’t be turned down for 10 at the first meeting either.
The reason is that men who are willing to pay 8 are probably the type to state their preferences fairly straightforwardly.
That said, the higher the amount, the harder it becomes to maintain the arrangement.
If a man is already seeing a woman he’s satisfied with for 8, he won’t continue with you unless being with you offers him an even higher level of satisfaction, right?
When making your request, keep in mind that there are other women competing for his attention.

If you think, “Having an adult relationship (intimate) with this papa would be just about bearable,” try asking him for 10.
For a papa you think, “No way,” go for 12–15.
Whenever a woman brings up money, these old men always say the same thing, like a monkey masturbating on repeat: “I don’t like women who are all about money.” In that case, go use a dating app.
The most baffling part is when someone offers a low allowance while constantly trying to show off how wealthy he is.
Just respond with, “Excuse me? Hello?” or “Pardon me?”
It’s precisely because they lack the humility to accept that women wouldn’t give them the time of day without paying that they get absolutely no attention anywhere outside a dating club.
And that’s despite having breath like a public nuisance spreading the stench of a rotting corpse, being covered in hair, and having such a protruding belly you’d think they were nine months pregnant.
Questioner, have some confidence. You’re young and beautiful. You have no reason to date a stingy papa who can’t offer 10. If you let a bringer of misfortune take over your life, you’ll be headed straight for misery, so if you’re not interested, turn him down firmly.

Girls who say “5” or “whatever you think is fair” are actually cuter in this world than the ones asking for 8 or 10, even if they may seem wonderful.
It’s a world where papas who give generous allowances are considered cool and popular, while women who ask for low allowances are seen as cute and popular.
Does that mean I’m disqualified as a papa because I don’t give much?
But honestly, anyone asking for 7 or 8 is a no-go for me. At best, it would be a one-time thing with no ongoing arrangement.
Hmm… Lately, I’ve been thinking that the reason the interactions here don’t feel stressful is because there’s no money involved.
So I’m starting to feel that not deciding anything about the allowance is the least stressful option. No allowance changing hands, with an “extra” included at no additional cost…
> You always say around 8.
The fact that you say “always” shows you’re far too used to papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). You’d probably have a happier life if you found a good papa to continue seeing and didn’t need to meet new ones anymore. I hope you find someone you’d want to stay connected with for life as a person.

If a man thinks the going rate is 5, then rather than continuing to see someone for 8 per meeting, it would make more sense to pay a Gold introduction fee of 3 and look for a woman who charges 5 per meeting. Someone who charges 8 will still charge 8 no matter how many times you meet, but if you pay 3 to look for someone new, there’s a chance you’ll find a woman who charges 5. If you get lucky, the first meeting costs 8 in total, but from the second meeting onward, it’s 5.
By the same logic, if the rate is 10, paying the Platinum introduction fee of 5 and finding someone who charges 5 per meeting would break even. In that sense, there may be a difference depending on whether men see you as Gold or Platinum. This is purely their assessment—not the club’s.
Still, if you’re interested, I think it’s worth giving it a try. If you get a lot of offers, you’ll be able to run that kind of experiment, and there’s a good chance that the men who make offers see you as Platinum or higher rather than Gold. On the other hand, if you don’t get many offers, I think it would be better to value the connections you do make.
If you really need the money, realistically, you might want to consider the adult entertainment industry, which has a solid customer-acquisition system.

Since it’s an extra digit, it does feel like it raises the bar a little…
But since you said they won’t turn you down if you ask for 80, I’d probably say, “Around 80–100.”
That way, you can also get a sense of how generous the other person is—whether they give you 80 or 100!
