Regardless of the market, I think every market has a mix of good and bad. It’s best to develop the ability to tell them apart and make an effort to be a good person yourself.

I find “solving everything with money” far too unimaginative and frankly boring. Throwing money around can feel good, but people going through that phase usually seem to be out causing a scene around Roppongi.
From a man’s perspective, increasing the allowance is essentially discounting himself. And lowering your price when things aren’t going well is an obvious but foolish move that anyone could think of.
Likewise, when something in the relationship isn’t working, I think it’s just as foolish for a woman to start by lowering her allowance.

That may be why you see so many people misunderstanding the nature of their relationship with the other person or getting the sense of distance wrong. I think those misunderstandings lead to poor communication, which in turn creates their problems.
