If I were 20, I’d find someone in their 30s creepy too.
Think of it the other way around: when you were 20, could you have happily dated someone in their 40s or 50s? Unless you had a very particular preference, you’d probably find it gross and be unable to do it, right?

Without money, men generally don’t have much luck after 40. Having money can turn the melancholy of your 40s into something alluring. Some people in their 40s can still look quite young.
After 50, even with money, you look unmistakably like an “older gentleman,” so it becomes much harder to attract women who are looking for genuine romance. More specifically, men in their 50s may still be popular with women their own age or older, but they’ll hardly attract the younger women or pretty women they really want to appeal to.
That’s why everyone tries to solve the problem with money. In dating clubs in general, I believe there are actually more members in their 50s than in their 40s.
That’s what I’ve come to think from watching my very handsome papa (in his 50s).

From the perspective of women in their mid-to-late 20s, a capable boss in his 40s can look incredibly attractive.
As I’ve mentioned many times before, when four of us who had been high school classmates got together at 28, three of us—excluding the one who was married—were having affairs with men in their 40s.
The handsome older man in his 50s I’m currently seeing should definitely be popular, but he doesn’t seem to have his antenna up at all. He says, “What does it mean to be popular?” (lol)
He looks at people who end up dating someone they meet through work, hobbies, or other social circles with genuine curiosity. He’s like, “Why would you date someone if it means risking that relationship with your friends?”
Apparently, people like that may actually be popular but still use dating clubs.

To me, being attractive means being the kind of man a woman would want to have children with, or someone she’d feel proud to be dating because it gives her status.
So I think truly popular men are generally around the same age as celebrities at that level.
Most women only actively try to find a partner in an obvious, straightforward way until their twenties. That’s why I think men are only really popular up until around their early thirties.
Men who are generous can be popular regardless of age with women who love money or are especially drawn to wealthy men. But in those cases, I think it’s the money pheromones that are attracting them.

If he’s generous with his money, he may gain even more experience and become increasingly popular.

Even a tall, handsome guy won’t be popular if he’s stingy. That’s all!

People who are attractive tend to stay attractive, don’t they?
It just seems like there are fewer men who remain handsome as they get older.

There are people around me who are still popular even in their 40s and beyond. From a man’s perspective, too, they’re charismatic, masculine, and genuinely cool.
Some of it is what they were born with, but they also take care of themselves and put in the effort. They might still be popular even without money, but they’re naturally smart and generous with the way they spend it—though it’s hard to put into words—so I don’t know what they’d be like without that.
I think it comes down to personal values, but their money is part of their appeal, and spending it may be one way of showing respect. They behave much the same way regardless of whether the other person is a woman or a man, as far as I can tell. (I don’t know what happens behind the scenes.)
That said, I understand that this doesn’t justify their relationships with women.

When I was in my 20s, I was a creepy otaku virgin who had never even held hands with anyone. Now, I occasionally get marriage proposals.
Although, to be fair, it’s definitely because of the money.
Once you’re over 40, I don’t think you’ll be popular unless you’re as good-looking as an actor or exceptionally good at conversation.
The drama *Konkatsu Tantei* (*Marriage-Hunting Detective*) was pretty interesting.
