Aren’t more than half of them just disgusting old men trying to brainwash you into thinking you’re their girlfriend so they can lower your allowance?
I’ve had conversations like that many times too. What can I say to deny it without ruining the relationship?

I feel like it would be difficult to maintain a relationship with someone who talks that way and presents those terms.
When a relationship deepens, I increase the allowance as well, and there are also supporters who reliably give a set amount. So I think you’d be better off looking for someone else.
If you’re only keeping this person around until you find someone better, I don’t think you have much choice but to brush them off casually.

A Q&A site is a place to get answers to questions, not validation.
I’ve never heard of a man trying to brainwash his dating partner into thinking she’s his girlfriend just to reduce her allowance. As far as I know, people simply choose not to continue seeing someone if they’re unhappy with the allowance terms or find them too much trouble.

I don’t think everyone is like that.
I haven’t met anyone who’s said that to me, so… I’d actually like to become attractive enough for someone to say it to me that often.
A rejection is still a rejection, so I think it’s difficult to avoid damaging the relationship. If you don’t want to ruin things, you have no choice but to accept it. From there, how you position yourself advantageously may determine what happens next.
