I’d say it, even if it means we have to part ways.

You’re better off parting ways with a papa who reacts badly to your suggestions.
There’s no point in pursuing an arrangement that only causes you stress.

If you’re feeling frustrated and stewing over it, I think you should simply tell him what you want.
Even if he dislikes it and you end up parting ways, wouldn’t that be better for your mental health than staying together while bottling everything up?
This isn’t something you should force yourself to endure.

Why not just say, “I’m worried I might run into friends or someone I know”?
Normally, I’d suggest changing the type of restaurant or getting a private room. It’s better to be straightforward about that.
If you oddly say something like, “I’d prefer a place for older people,” they might misunderstand and insist on Sugamo, which could end with nobody being happy.
Though, to be fair, Sugamo is fun too.
