Why are men in their 70s at these clubs so incredibly confident? It’s really scary.

I’m 20 years old and a second-year university student—I only recently attended my coming-of-age ceremony. The men who usually approach me are overwhelmingly in their 40s and 50s. I’ve never had anyone in their 60s approach me. However, I’ve been approached by three men in their 70s so far. Since I’ve basically never turned down a first meeting, I met all of them, but men in their 70s act as if the age gap doesn’t matter at all. Men in their 40s and 50s often start with something like, “I’m sure a young woman wouldn’t want to be with an older guy like me,” but for some reason, men in their 70s come in with the attitude that even a small allowance is fine and, of course, we can definitely have an adult relationship (intimate). I honestly can’t understand how they can act as though dating a woman at least 50 years younger is completely normal. Every single man in his 70s has said or done something I couldn’t tolerate, so I was the one who ended things. All three of the men in their 70s I’ve met have made the same awful, completely unfunny jokes, like, “I want an allowance too—I want to do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan)!” Why are men in their 70s at these clubs so unbelievably confident??????? It honestly scares me.
