I joined about five years ago, and compared with back then, women seem much more demanding and allowances have become inflated. What do others think?

I don’t think the going rate or inflation really has anything to do with it. Confident women know the value they bring, and men can recognize that value too. That’s why even an extremely high allowance can work, without reducing the number of offers or dates she gets. It really comes down to what each person is looking for in a partner. If a woman judges a man’s value based on the amount of money he offers, negotiations are more likely to succeed when he proposes an exceptionally high allowance. But if a man can highlight value beyond the allowance, the arrangement may still work out even if his offer is below the price she initially set.

I’m in my fifth year with a club as well, but I haven’t noticed any inflation. With apps becoming more common, the number of people doing papa-katsu may have increased slightly, for both men and women. Looking only at the questions posted here, you might get the impression that many women are making very demanding requests. But in reality, after making an offer and talking with them, only two women out of the dozens I’ve contacted have made such demanding requests that we ended the meeting that day.

I’ve only been registered for less than six months, so I don’t have enough experience to compare things. But if you search online for dating clubs, some sites list what the going rate for an allowance tends to be. You look at that, consider whether you have anything extra to offer—or whether you’re willing to go beyond that—and then ask for an allowance accordingly, don’t you? As Tetsu said, if the terms don’t work for you, you can simply choose not to pursue the relationship. That applies to both men and women.

I’ve only known about Universe Club for just under two years, so I can only speak from my experience with compensated dating in general—but over the past 15 to 20 years that I’ve been aware of it, I haven’t noticed any particularly significant changes.

That sounds perfectly fine to me. The allowance debate is getting heated on the Q&A site too, but women should simply be confident and state the amount they want. All you need to do is find a papa (a male supporter) who agrees to it. If you can’t agree on the allowance, things won’t develop into an arrangement—and if nothing develops, you won’t receive any allowance. It’s really that simple. A lot of people worry about the going rate, but honestly, I don’t understand why.

With the growing influence of the Carlos cult, we’re seeing deflation. It’s also possible that women tried to charge you more because the questioner’s appeal has declined.
