I’m considering suggesting a Saizeriya date for our first meeting, since it’s been a hot topic lately. But I don’t want to get a bad review. Do you think giving her 20,000 or 30,000 yen for transportation would be enough?

I’m not really sure what you mean by calling it “trending” when it hasn’t even become a topic of discussion lately. If you don’t want to receive a bad review, why would you choose a situation where the chances of getting one are so high? If you’re going to challenge yourself anyway, why not dress in a sloppy, unkempt way—wearing a tracksuit, for example—show up drunk to the meeting spot, and then head to Saizeriya? This is basically a game of figuring out how to avoid getting a bad review, isn’t it? From the woman’s perspective, it’s incredibly annoying, but people sure do come up with some strange ways to have fun.

Is that the Saizeriya reel featuring Haruki Kai that’s been going around on YouTube? If someone who’s only moderately well-off does that, people will look down on them. You’re better off not doing it.

Women who are only after the money might be happy, but not every woman is motivated solely by money. For the first meeting, I think it would be better to avoid it. Once you’ve gotten to know her and know that she enjoys that kind of place, you could go there from the second meeting onward.

Why are you so set on Saizeriya? If you can spend 20,000–30,000 yen, you could go to a hotel restaurant instead. Why? What would you do if you ended up surrounded by a group of middle or high school students on their way home? It’d give me chills, lol. No wayyy.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish. Even if the transportation allowance is generous, I think some people will still take offense. Kida wrote the following before: https://universe-club.jp/help/questions/view/5585 > Even if the woman you’re meeting is on the level of Mother Teresa, Universe’s rule is > 5,000–10,000 yen. > > I dislike it when anyone—whether a man, a woman, or an ideal supporter—tries to negotiate outside the rules regarding the transportation allowance. I also think that anyone who can’t even stick to something this simple has a problem.

Why are you so insistent on Saizeriya? Personally, I wouldn’t feel great about it. If we’re going to meet, I’d make an effort to dress nicely and look my best, so I’d be disappointed to find out we’re going to a family restaurant. It’s not that I dislike Saizeriya. I just don’t feel like it’s the kind of place to go for this sort of arrangement. First impressions matter, don’t they? I’d certainly appreciate it if the travel allowance were generous, but… I have mixed feelings.

If you have a particular reason for insisting on Saizeriya, I don’t see a problem with that. Just let her know when you make the offer that you’ll be going to Saizeriya. If she doesn’t like that, she can decline. If you feel bad about it, you could always add a little extra to the allowance.

It’s a generous allowance, not just transportation money. A generous allowance. A generous allowance. It’s important, so I said it three times. Offering a generous allowance at Saizeriya is pretty fun. Watching a woman’s eyes light up when she has zero expectations and zero motivation becomes addictive♪
