What does “taking responsibility” even mean in this situation?
Acknowledging the child? That would cause a huge uproar, among other things. If the papa (a male supporter) is married, there’s also the risk of his wife suing you.
Paying for the abortion and compensation? If he becomes defiant, you may be considered to have consented, and it may not be possible to claim it as compensation. And in this case too, if the papa is married, there’s still the risk of his wife suing you.
In other words, he can’t really take responsibility. I think you already understand that. One option might be to corner him with a logical argument.

I think it probably means there was a man who said something nonsensical when she turned him down, like, “I’ll take responsibility if you get pregnant.”
Whether he takes responsibility or not, it’s absolutely not okay.
I think it would be better to say it that way.

How exactly do you intend to take responsibility for two other people’s lives?
Other
If they’re married, have them fill out the divorce papers and bring them along so they’re ready to submit. I’ll keep them.
If they’re not married, let’s fill out the marriage registration form instead.
It’s kind of scary to write that myself…
But I suppose that’s how serious I should be.

Something like, “If you prepay ¥30 million to cover my child’s expenses through college, I’ll be okay with going without protection.”
And once you get the ¥30 million, disappear.
