I recently finished my interview and am waiting for my profile to be created, but from looking at some earlier questions, I learned that most people have theirs made that same day or shortly afterward. Looking even further back, I also saw answers saying that if you’re attractive, they’ll put your profile up right away to encourage offers. It’s been a week for me as of today, so does that mean they don’t have high expectations because of my looks or something…?

Were you told that you passed? As Mr. Maezawa mentioned, it may take a little time now. Think carefully about what to write in your profile, and remember that you’ll need to take your own private photos as well. Take some time to carefully consider everything you need to do before you come.

It’s probably an administrative issue, unrelated to expectations. Since today is in the middle of a holiday weekend, they’ll likely post it after the holidays. If it still hasn’t been posted, please contact the club.

I think waiting about another week would be a good idea—the number of COVID cases seems to be starting to decline a little, so there may be more offers from men as well! It’s more enjoyable to stay positive about things. Marika

How quickly you get registered depends on the other work the staff have on their plate! A while back, an incredibly cute woman who was amazing in every other way came in, but the staff couldn’t keep up with their other work, so she was only registered at the last minute—one week after her interview.

I believe this was explained during your interview, but please allow up to one week for your profile to be registered. The reason it can take that long is that, at some branches, two staff members may conduct as many as 10 interviews a day. That means five interviews per person can take around five hours, leaving only three hours for registration work. There may also be inquiries from male members asking what a particular woman is like. If several of those come in, an hour can easily disappear. There’s also a possibility that male interviews will be scheduled. If there are two, each staff member handles one, which takes about an hour in total. You might think registering five women in that remaining hour would be easy, but staff need time to choose the best photos from all the pictures they took. They also need time to write the profile comments. For women they’re particularly invested in, registering just one person can sometimes take about an hour. In that case, one registration uses up the entire eight-hour workday, leaving the other four for the next day. If they work at the same pace the following day, the number of women still waiting to be registered increases to eight. By the third day, it’s 12… Eventually, because registrations have piled up, they may reduce the number of interviews and register 12 women all at once on a particular day. That’s why it can sometimes take about a week. Of course, if there are fewer interviews on a given day, things won’t pile up this much. Regional branches may also have fewer interviews to begin with, so this situation may not occur there. And there are even some superhuman staff members who can choose photos in five minutes and write the comments in another five. So the registration time depends on which branch you’re dealing with and, even at the same branch, which staff member is handling it. That said, the company’s policy is to complete registration within one week, so even if your application is handled by the slowest staff member, it should be registered within that timeframe. On rare occasions, someone may have passed but, due to an oversight, the registration work hasn’t been completed. That’s why it’s a good idea to inquire if more than a week has passed. In your case, I don’t think it means they aren’t interested in you, so I wouldn’t judge anything based on how long the registration takes. Incidentally, if someone is especially beautiful, they may intentionally delay the registration, show her profile privately to promising male members first, and ask whether they would like to make an offer before making it publicly available. So the registration itself may take longer in those cases.

I’m not active with Universe Club, so this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but… The staff are probably busy too, so I don’t think it’s possible to arrange things that same day for everyone who comes in for an interview and passes. Rather than worrying about your appearance, why not wait while imagining the fun possibilities ahead—like how you’ll go about your activities from here, or what kind of people might make you an offer? I’m with SALON, so it’s different from receiving offers from men, and I was worried about whether I’d even get a date arranged. But I also kept myself excited by thinking things like, “What should I talk about if I do get one?” and “What should I wear?” I think waiting that way will be more enjoyable for you too.
