This seriously creeped me out. I got a message saying, “Would you accept my feelings and my money?” I’m completely put off. Is it okay to reply, “I can accept the money, but not your feelings,” and then block him?

What exactly do you mean by “feelings”? If he’s someone you’re seeing, I think it’s fine to accept it and say thank you. He wants to keep seeing you, right? I don’t really understand what’s so creepy about that. If you’re going to be in a relationship, men are usually happier when you act like a couple while you’re together. And even if communicating when you’re apart is a hassle, the fact that he gives you something—even a small amount—might mean he’s a better person than someone who gives you nothing. But if you really find it creepy, you could say something like: “That line is kind of creepy. Next time, just give me the allowance normally. I’ll accept it this time.” I think that would be fine too. It might also be a good idea to explain when you meet what kinds of things don’t feel creepy to you.

Try replying: “How much would you be willing to give me? I’d like to decide whether to accept your feelings based on the amount.” This should cool his feelings immediately, so you won’t have to block him on LINE. If he’s still interested in you, he’ll probably offer a slightly higher allowance and ask for an adult relationship (intimate), so you should be able to keep him as a papa (a male supporter) while avoiding a serious emotional attachment.

Just tell him, “I can accept the money, but I can’t return your feelings.” Then accept the money and leave things as they are without blocking him. You never know what might happen in life. Rather than cutting someone off so easily, wait and see if anything develops(笑)

Don’t just take the money. If you’re going to accept an allowance, you should also accept their feelings. Put the other way around, it would be like being intimate with someone and not getting paid.

I think it’s fine to say that and then block them, as long as you’re not actually just taking the money. That way, they’ll probably be left thinking, “Wait, what?!”…

Why not just take the money and then block him?

I’m honestly appalled by the questioner’s behavior. If you’re going to block him, the sensible thing would be not to accept the money either…
