Why does Rin, a female SALON member, answer questions in the Universal Q&A box?

I’m Rin, a female SALON member. I decided to become an answerer because I was looking through this Q&A when I was considering joining SALON, and it helped me make my decision to join. I hope I can also be helpful to others who are thinking about joining SALON. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to give answers that are all that useful… After joining, while browsing the Q&A, I saw someone claiming to be a female SALON member referring to supporters as “old men” or “grandpas” in their questions. When I saw answerers saying things like, “I can’t believe there are people like that among SALON’s female members,” I wanted to say, “Not everyone is like that!”—and that’s why I applied to become an answerer. I’m truly grateful to both SALON and the SALON staff, and I’m serving as an answerer in the hope that I can do something beneficial for SALON. Makeo-san, thank you for your kind words.
