How much of a difference is there between your sex drive in your 20s, 30s, and now?
I’m 42, and I feel like my sex drive has decreased compared with before.
Rather than wanting to have sex with lots of different people, I feel like I’ve reached a sort of enlightened state where I want to deepen an intimate relationship with one dating partner and witness how our sex life changes as she reaches her 30s and 40s.
I’m not ready to go completely cold yet, but is this just age? (lol)
I’d love to hear opinions from both men and women. Sorry for the silly question.

I’m in my mid-40s. I’m not as firm as I used to be, but I’m still going strong.
I experienced losing my erection during sex about five years ago, but after losing weight in a healthy way, that stopped happening.
If you’re in your 40s, I think you can still enjoy yourself for many years to come.
Also, I don’t think sex drive is simply about whether you can get an erection.
It’s about whether seeing a woman naked and watching her respond arouses you.
In that respect, I think I can keep going for another 20 years.

In the five years before joining the club, my libido gradually declined. I got to the point where I’d masturbate maybe once a week, if that.
Joining the club brought it back. Since turning 40, I sometimes have trouble maintaining an erection, so I use medication during sex, but my libido is strong enough that I masturbate every day.
My motivation for working out is to make sure my regulars don’t lose interest in me.
When I first joined, I made offers left and right, but these days I’m enjoying myself with some lovely, reliable regulars. I’m grateful to them every time we meet.

At 35, I started losing my erection even with performance enhancers, and now, at 38, I have almost no sex drive anymore...
I may suddenly feel like masturbating, but I rarely feel motivated to carefully pursue someone and have sex.
I’m jealous that you were still going strong at 42.

I think it depends on each person’s circumstances.
I don’t think what you’re experiencing means your desires have dried up. I think they’ve simply changed.
Personally, my interests haven’t changed since my twenties, and I’d like to make the more unconventional side of things feel casual.
That said, I’ve experienced most things by now, so it’s become harder to have experiences that truly excite me.
