Once you’re married and have children, you realize how extraordinary your wife is in so many ways. There are countless things men simply can’t do, and you can’t help but respect and admire her.
For a husband who’s been left on the sidelines, getting his wife interested in him again isn’t easy.
A little housework, helping out, or earning money won’t be enough to make up for it.
I feel that what matters is whether he can continue, year after year, to give her moments in everyday life, on trips, or in raising the children that make her fall in love with him all over again and see him in a new light.

It probably depends on the couple.
In our case, the way we care for each other hasn’t changed, and neither has how much we cherish each other.
The frequency has varied depending on how busy work was and on periods when he was away traveling all over the world.
That said, we haven’t become sexless. We’ve been married for 18 years.

I was constantly berated and subjected to displaced anger. We never became completely sexless, but intimacy steadily decreased starting just one month into our marriage.
We were intimate about once a year, and after enduring it for 15 years, I finally got divorced.

This happened at a school reunion a few years ago.
Since it was an all-boys’ school, once it got late, the conversation naturally turned to sex. Despite supposedly being an elite school, we ended up discussing something completely devoid of intellect: how many times a week we had sex.
Embarrassed, I answered, “Once a week is about the most I can manage.” I assumed everyone meant married life, but apparently everyone except me was talking about extramarital activities.
“You have sex with your wife at your age? You really are a pervert,” they said, apparently as a compliment.
I don’t think we ever had a clearly defined sexless period in our marriage. Or at least, I think we didn’t.

I’m Dai, a male member.
In my case, my partner had mental health issues, so we became intimate less often. But we never became completely sexless.
As for preventing that, I guess the best thing is not having children.
Once you have kids, you can’t exactly have sex in front of them, so I think things gradually become sexless.

Apparently, once I have kids, I’m no longer seen as a woman.
Besides, I’ll be busy taking care of the children, and even if someone helps with the housework and gives me a little more free time, they’ll still say they’re too busy. So, I guess we’ll just become roommates.

I think it’s often the case that after having children, wives lose interest in intimacy.
So rather than it being about how many years they’ve been married, it may depend on how long it’s been since they had children.
As for prevention, I think it’s important to be considerate of your wife when she’s tired and irritable.
