With everything going on right now, wouldn’t it be risky to meet a papa who travels around other prefectures for work? He wants to see me, but I’m worried and can’t decide.

Maezawa from Shacho-shitsu here as well. When someone says, “I met them because they wrote in their Q&A box that it was safe to meet, and then I was told I caught COVID-19,” it becomes difficult to say what I really think. Ultimately, you should make the final decision for yourself. That said, I feel like we’re currently in the process of developing herd immunity. People are vulnerable to unknown viruses, so I think many people initially became seriously ill or passed away. But once herd immunity has been established, I feel we can think of it in much the same way as the influenza virus. Influenza used to spread every winter, but I don’t remember many people saying, “Since it’s flu season, we probably shouldn’t meet, right?” If you’re saying that COVID-19 is still a concern because new variants are appearing, I think new strains of influenza have appeared as well. Thinking about it that way, COVID-19 may no longer be an unknown virus, and most people may have developed immunity. So I feel we may be entering a stage where there’s no need to make quite as big a fuss as before. That said, we still don’t know whether herd immunity has truly been established, and we don’t know whether you personally have developed immunity. If you’re worried, I think you should do what feels right to you so you won’t regret it later. Incidentally, whether you’re traveling outside your prefecture or just moving around within it, it feels like the risk is basically the same.

I’m Fuu, a columnist. Are you saying you don’t go out at all? If it’s for work, isn’t it unavoidable? Whether you go outside the prefecture or just to the convenience store nearby, you can still catch something when the conditions are right. If you’re worried, I think you should decline and stay in your room.

I’m Aya, a female member. I think it’s best to assess the risks as a whole, taking into account the questioner’s occupation and whether they live with any elderly family members. The situation may be different for a healthcare worker than for a typical office worker, for example. Personally, I don’t get overly anxious about it. I simply take everyday infection-prevention measures and look after my health.

You were able to decide to do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), but do you really need to ask about something like this in an advice box before deciding? It’s all up to you. Akari

I’m a male member and a total loser. I didn’t want it to bring bad luck for my regular to have my dick inside her at the start of the New Year, so we’ve only been having dinner, and I’ve still been giving her the allowance for an adult relationship. But starting next month, I’ll be eagerly putting it inside her and getting plenty of close contact.

This is Unno from the staff. I think it ultimately comes down to how each person feels, but why not ask whether they take precautions, such as getting tested or vaccinated? If you feel the risk seems low, meeting them may help you feel a little more at ease!

I’m Kazu, a male member. Personally, I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. If you’re worried, I think it’s best not to go through with it.
