I’m not a company employee, so I meet during weekday daytime hours. It may be difficult for those who work regular office jobs, but I’m sure there are people with unconventional jobs or weekdays off as well!

If you make it clear from the start that you’re only available to meet during weekday afternoons, I think you’ll find women who are okay with that. Your chances may be slim with a typical office worker, but there are plenty of people in other lines of work.
That said, you may occasionally come across women who work in the adult entertainment industry or do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) full-time, and they may say, “Weekday afternoons work for me.” If that’s not what you’re looking for, you’ll need to make a conscious effort to avoid them.

I think there are quite a few people whose jobs give them weekdays off. Those who work shifts often have weekdays off as well.
Given your situation, rather than forcing yourself to come up with an excuse, I think you’d be better off looking for a woman among those who are available to meet—and whom you’d actually like to go on a date with.
It might help to look beyond civil servants, teachers, and regular office workers.
People in the beauty and medical fields, flight attendants, and the service industry in general often have weekdays off.

I meet women in the morning, afternoon, evening, or even on weekends—though I guess that doesn’t really answer your question.
That said, I’ve had a married-woman-related issue that nearly cost me my life last year, so I’ve had more than enough of married women. I almost quit Universe because of it...
I avoid women who want to meet during the day, since that’s a red flag that they may be married.
