If you’re going to regret or feel ashamed of it, don’t do it in the first place. Any man who can’t foresee the possibility of regret before getting involved in club activities is simply being naive.

I’m Taro, a male member.
When I start to feel a sense of going through the motions in my own behavior and reactions—when I find myself thinking that, without that feeling, I might have truly connected with the woman—I start thinking about quitting the dating club. But I’m sure I’d come back after a while. Basically, it would just be a recharge period.
On the other hand, everything changes when I meet a great woman. Especially if I meet her somewhere other than a dating club, I disappear in an instant. I don’t even have time to think, “I’m going to quit.” I still check the members’ page out of habit, but it becomes like looking at a flyer—nothing leaves any impression anymore. If things don’t work out with her, though, I come back again.
To me, a dating club is the hole at the very bottom of a pachinko machine.
Unable to get into the tulips opening and closing their legs along the way, I get knocked around by countless pins before finally dropping to the bottom. I may linger there, moving back and forth regretfully, but in the end, every little ball rolls into that hole—the long, horizontal hole overflowing with compassion, never refusing and endlessly swallowing them all.
Thank you, as always. I look forward to your continued support.

I’m Fuu, a columnist.
I do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), and I don’t feel ashamed or regretful about it. I treat the women I date with sincerity and respect.
I don’t diss unrelated strangers online, force my personal opinions or sense of justice on others, or resort to verbal abuse through filthy language, slander, or insults. I’m able to maintain my conscience.
I live an honest life without committing crimes.
Sometimes I think that if I had never discovered papa-katsu, my life would have been pretty boring.
I don’t want to become the kind of person who takes out the frustrations of a boring life on unrelated strangers by anonymously forcing my self-righteous opinions and “correct” views on them through indirect words.
I also think that people who bash celebrities for having affairs must be bored and pretty pitiful. It’s a matter between the people involved, so I don’t understand why outsiders feel the need to say anything. Maybe they’re lashing out because they’re actually jealous—that’s what I sometimes think.
Instead of wasting time attacking other people, why not look for something enjoyable to do for yourself, or something you can seriously devote yourself to?

I’ve never felt ashamed or regretted it. I believe I’m living an honest life as a man. Even in a marriage, forcing yourselves to do things you can’t do won’t benefit either of you.
I wouldn’t mind introducing the women I’m seeing to everyone, but I choose not to because I want to respect their privacy, and there are always some people who might spread malicious rumors about me.

If it’s embarrassing to be a papa, then papa-katsu girls would be embarrassing too. Are you trying to make enemies of all the PJ girls?
By the way, the reason my allowance is clearly above the going rate is so that the PJ girl can feel that doing papa-katsu was worth it.
There’s nothing embarrassing about receiving money from someone who has plenty of it.
What’s embarrassing is a papa who has money but offers a low allowance.

Since everyone here is doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), asking people who are already involved in it wouldn’t really tell you much...
For what it’s worth, I still believe I’m living an honest, respectable life.
