If a woman is placed in the Gold class at her initial interview, can she later be moved up to the Platinum class after some time if the staff decides to do so?

Maezawa here—I’ll answer this one too. There are cases where someone gets upgraded after registering as Gold and suddenly receiving a flood of offers. (That’s just one example.) In such cases, they may receive a flood of offers on the very first day, but the class upgrade may still come a few days later. Sometimes it’s unclear whether the offers really qualify as a flood. For example, you might receive two offers right after registering and wonder whether those two will lead to more. It’s impossible to tell whether they just happened to come in right after registration or whether offers will continue pouring in afterward. That’s why the upgrade may be delayed for a few days to see how things develop. If it happens much later, though, I think the upgrade is probably based on some other factor.

I’m Saito, a columnist♪ Quite a few women do get moved up the tiers. For example, women who receive a lot of interest from men, respond quickly and make a good impression, or look significantly more attractive when they’re photographed again after losing weight may be upgraded. That said, I think it’s better to view the tiers as indicating how likely a woman is to receive a reasonable number of offers, rather than simply ranking how attractive she is. I’ve heard that the allowance gap between Platinum and Gold has been getting smaller lately, too…
