Probably when I travel, both in Japan and abroad. I have nothing but gratitude for the handful of enchanting women who’ve accompanied me along the way.
This summer, I went to Niseko for the first time in ages. I spent my student years in Hokkaido and worked at a Niseko ski resort during the winters. I was crammed into a tiny dorm and the working conditions were brutal, so I don’t have many fond memories of it—but Niseko in summer, when you’re not working, is absolutely the best. Rafting on the Shiribetsu River was especially much more fun than I expected. Climbing Mount Yotei once was more than enough for me.

I’m happy when I’m with my papa (a male supporter).
It also makes me happy that he seems to genuinely like me.
I had a chance to talk with some younger women involved in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), and they were surprised because apparently they don’t feel this way.

When you look at it abstractly, business and papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) are based on exactly the same principles. The biggest takeaway for me was being able to apply what I learned from papa-katsu to business.
Thanks to that, I made huge strides this year and moved up an entire level.
I’m overwhelmingly grateful to my partners.
The downside was realizing that, even though I wanted to fall genuinely in love, I’d become incapable of doing so.
I guess I can’t fall in love anymore.
