Early on, I would seriously reflect if I spent more than ¥100,000, but around before COVID, my standard became about ¥110,000–¥120,000. Recently, I’ve become even more relaxed about it, and now I usually spend around ¥150,000–¥300,000.
My sense of money has become pretty numb, and I’ve started prioritizing how satisfied I feel over the amount I spend. Is that actually a good thing?
I am technically the owner and president of my company, but my annual income isn’t anything special, so I can’t help wondering whether I’m really on the right track financially.

I think that’s perfectly fine.
For what it’s worth, I once went along with a PJ’s suggestion to cut down on the cost of our dates and put the savings toward her allowance. But it stopped being fun, and we eventually parted ways.
There are things you only understand through experience, so I’m not sure what the best approach is either lol. Still, isn’t it less enjoyable for both people when you’re constantly thinking about the costs? If you’re going to be stingy, maybe you should just call it quits lol.

Compared with when I first started, allowances have been trending upward lately. However, I can’t eat as much as I used to, so I’m less particular about restaurants and increasingly just keep meals simple. Averaged out, things have remained more or less the same—just a little over 10.

If it’s not going to put your business or household in jeopardy, I don’t see a problem with spending as much as you want. Time is limited, after all.
If your annual income isn’t particularly high, though, you need to be careful with your disposable income.
