Hello. I’m a 41-year-old woman considering signing up, but I feel my age may be a disadvantage. I’m not particularly attractive either, so I’m wondering whether I should register at all. What kinds of women actually sign up?

Maezawa will answer as well. Many of the people in their 40s who are registered seem to be those who used to be popular—or at least probably were—but some also come across as kind and gentle. Looking at their photos, many seem like the kind of people you could have a relaxed, enjoyable conversation with and a nice atmosphere when you meet, possibly leading to an even closer connection afterward. Regardless of age, appearance does matter. On top of that, though, many men seem to be looking for someone with substance. So rather than worrying about your age, you may want to focus on other aspects as well. You mentioned that you’re not confident about your appearance, but that’s impossible to know until you actually meet. You may simply see yourself that way, while in reality you could be attractive enough to receive quite a few offers. Why not take just a little courage and come register?
