Men, what kinds of questions from a woman you’re meeting for the first time would make you uncomfortable? For me, it would be, “You have a large chest—what cup size are you?”

I’m Fuu, a column writer. I see. People’s insecurities can be difficult to navigate. Some people have small breasts and choose to get implants, while others have larger breasts and feel self-conscious about comments. We need to be careful. Personally, I don’t like being asked intrusive questions about my family.

I’m Shingo Lee, a columnist. I don’t use dating clubs, so I wouldn’t know, but when I’m out picking up women and a girl tells me, “You really thought you could pick someone up with that face?” it does mess with my mental state. lol Men may be interested in women’s breasts, but it’s better to keep that hidden, right? No matter how busty I think she is, I make a point of flirting without looking at her breasts until she takes her clothes off!

Maezawa from the President’s Office here. > “You have a nice bust. What cup size are you?” Universe lists bust sizes, so if he asked that, perhaps you looked larger in person than the cup size listed on your profile. I’m not quite sure what you mean by “asking about something he already knows,” but maybe he just wanted to confirm it. As for women with larger breasts disliking comments about them, I feel even pickup artists know that’s generally unwelcome. But in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I think you should change your way of thinking and see it as something that can work to your advantage. No one views your personality and your breasts as completely separate. If you want people to notice you, using your breasts to draw them in at first can be a valid strategy. Men often discover your appeal as a person after meeting you. If things ended after just one or a few meetings, perhaps there wasn’t enough appeal on a personal level. If you think the final decision comes down to your personality, you may stop feeling uncomfortable when someone asks. When I think about what men dislike being asked, I wonder whether, just as women may dislike comments about their bodies, men may dislike questions about money. But just as some women see their bodies as an asset, some men probably see their money as an asset too. So I suppose it comes down to: some people may dislike it, but that’s about it.

If a man at a dating club asks, “You have a large bust—what cup size are you?” take it as a lucky break. A little flirtiness—just giving him a quick glimpse of your cleavage or letting your chest lightly brush against him when you link arms—and he’ll fall for you in no time. Easy and straightforward, haha. Marika

I’m Ayase Nana☆ If it were me, I’d be asked all sorts of personal questions—about my family, what year I got married, where I work, whether I’m still with my husband, what school my kids attend, and so on. That’s way too many questions, don’t you think? If they asked me that much, I’d fire plenty of questions back at them(笑) And then there’s, “You have a big chest too. Such a nice shape♡” “Great figure!” Even if you flatter me that much, you’re not getting anything out of me…

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. I’m basically a liar, but it’s not like I actively go around lying. So when someone asks me questions that force me to lie, I’m just like, “Seriously?” I’m talking about prying questions that dig into my club activities or private life.

I’m Dai, a male club member. I’m assuming your question is about meeting someone through the club. If she’s a woman from the club, I’ve already seen her profile and know about her beforehand, so I wouldn’t ask that kind of question. The men who do ask it probably see it as nothing more than a casual icebreaker. If that’s the case, they may also be the type of men who unconsciously make inappropriate comments at work. As a man, I don’t provide much information about myself beforehand, so I’m not particularly bothered by whatever questions a woman from the club asks me.

I’m Taro, a male member. You have a large bust, huh? (lol) Having big breasts is an obvious advantage, and it seems to make a definite difference in the number of offers and the allowance, after all. I’m sure women with smaller breasts feel jealous. So it’s best to take comments like that in stride, as just the price of being well-known. As a man, I don’t usually feel particularly bothered. There’s also a difference in how much information each person has before meeting, and I suppose men are the ones on offense during the first date. So the most I’d think is, “This person is different from what I expected, so I’ll keep my distance.” In most cases, it’s one of three things: (1) their appearance is different from what I expected, (2) they’re all about the money, or (3) they’re emotionally unstable. That said, once the red flags go up, all that’s left is to go through the motions, so it’s not a big deal.
