Embarrassingly, before joining the club, I had never dated multiple women at the same time. I assumed being devoted to one woman was best, but now that I’ve tried dating multiple women, I’ve found it not only interesting, but also a great way to better appreciate what makes each woman special. Apparently, it also gives me a certain aura—confidence, perhaps—and I’ve been becoming more and more popular with women. These days, I fancy myself quite the dandy. Is dating multiple women actually well received by women, too? This has taken an unexpected turn...

I’m Saito, a column writer♪ From a man’s perspective, I completely agree with you. On the other hand, I also think it’s perfectly fine for some men to prefer focusing on just one woman. There are many different ways for men to think about relationships. As for the aura you mentioned, it may partly come from “being accustomed to interacting with many beautiful women.” By interacting with various women at the same time, a man may move from thinking, “Women are generally like this…” to realizing that women come in all kinds of personalities and types. Perhaps women find that kind of flexibility in your outlook attractive.

Maezawa here. > Is dating multiple women actually well received by women? It doesn’t seem to be particularly well received. I once heard a woman say something like, “He tells me to quit Universe, yet he goes on dates with all kinds of women himself. At first, I couldn’t understand it, but I’ve given up trying to.” I’ve heard similar things from other women as well, so while they don’t really like it, they seem to think, “Well, he’s a man I met through a dating club, so I guess it can’t be helped.” > Apparently, some kind of aura—confidence, perhaps—also seems to emanate from me, and my popularity with women has been growing more and more. That may well happen.
