I’m Aya, a female member. I think people who work hard are attractive. I’m not drawn to lazy or unmotivated people. Body type matters too, I guess… I prefer someone slim and well-groomed. I’m sorry, but I can’t do overweight guys.

I’m Ishibashi from the staff, and I’d like to answer as well! Personally, I think men who look clean and well-groomed are attractive, while women with lovely smiles and a charming personality are cute!

Having the desire to learn on your own Naturally brings respect for others, helps you see yourself objectively, and fosters humility and the motivation to keep trying. You can live each day with a sparkle in your eyes. Even on days when things don’t go well, as well as days when they do, you can turn everything into something positive. I don’t think this is something that can be instilled from the outside. Rather, it’s something that naturally shines through as an魅力 to those around you through the way you live each day. Akari

Maezawa from the Executive Office will answer as well. As for “looks”… It’s really difficult to define what makes someone handsome or cute. Sometimes I wish it could all be quantified—like exactly how many millimeters someone’s eyes should be. And even if you did figure that out, the only basic way to get closer to those measurements would be cosmetic surgery. Men generally don’t see that as self-improvement. (Though I suppose some might?) To me, self-improvement means developing something through your own efforts, and I don’t consider cosmetic surgery an effort. So, if you’re going to work on your appearance, I’d say focus on makeup techniques and weight control for your figure. Beyond that, it would be things like your personality and special skills.

I’m a male member who’s always been on the losing side. I think Hideo Higashikokubaru was cool when he was governor of Miyazaki Prefecture. He was popular with women, too. Before becoming governor—and after stepping down—he wasn’t nearly as cool as Sonomanma Higashi. People who throw themselves into something are cool. Truly. As far as looks alone go, I think my second-best girl is even prettier than my top girl. She’s unbelievably beautiful. But, as she herself admits, she’s completely lacking in substance, so she’s currently working on filling that in. There’s a limit to how much you can improve your appearance. So I recommend that you, too, work on improving what’s inside. - Treat everyone with respect - Greet people properly - Put the other person first - Be a gentleman or lady especially when no one is watching - Don’t change clothes in front of your boyfriend or papa (a male supporter) - Don’t cut corners at work - Work toward graduating from papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) And so on—I’m giving her detailed guidance. The goal is for her to catch up with my top girl within a year.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I think it’s both cool and cute when someone can think for themselves and has a strong sense of self.
