I had actually been thinking that we should officially explain this very issue. Thanks to everyone, we’ve received a great many questions through this anonymous question box.
At first, I approached it casually, thinking it might be good for SEO. But I’ve come to feel that having a genuinely serious space like this is a good thing.
As for your question, here’s what I’ve instructed our staff:
- Always introduce yourself by name and write your own opinion. It’s fine if you’re wrong. Please don’t assume that your answer represents the company’s official view.
- Don’t answer out of obligation. If this were simply an expanded Q&A, we’d assign one staff member who could provide the most accurate answers. But that’s not the purpose of this board. Staff should respond only to the questions they genuinely want to answer, about topics they feel like addressing. Please answer with passion.
- Don’t attack individuals. Challenge their opinions instead.
So, in conclusion:
- Questions that no one wants to answer or feels knowledgeable about may be left unanswered and not posted.
Given the nature of a question box, I suppose the natural format would be for “the company to answer questions from individuals.” But that would eventually become unsustainable, so we’d like to settle on a format where “volunteers from the company answer questions from individuals.”
We’ll consider how to select those volunteers going forward. There are plenty of other staff members who can provide genuinely substantial answers, but I think the atmosphere may make it difficult for them to participate.
As for the previous question about recruiting for the members’ board, that was something I had been handling without involving the staff, so apparently no one was able to respond.

I’m not sure what question you mean, but there is a question from around that time still on the site.
If that’s the question you’re referring to, I’m unable to answer because I don’t know the current situation either.
Since none of the other staff members have answered, they may be in the same position.
If it’s something only a few people know about, I think it would be better to ask the source of that information directly. We can’t answer a question here about something 99% of the staff don’t know, and even if we did, it may not benefit anyone.
That said, just in case you’re referring to a different question, could you please ask the same question again?
