Generally speaking, is an allowance of 60,000 yen per meeting considered high?
When discussing the allowance, I’m usually offered either 50,000 yen per meeting or 200,000 yen per month for three to four meetings.
Personally, I’d like to receive 60,000 yen, but I’m worried it might come across as a little too pricey or subtly stingy, so I can’t bring myself to say it ^^;

In Japan, even numbers generally aren’t considered very lucky, so people tend to go with 3, then 5, then 7.
So if you want 6, you might try saying something like, “I was hoping for 7…” in a coy, hesitant way.
Since 7 is also known as the lucky seven, I feel like 7 would be better. (笑)
There’s not much point in worrying about what’s considered “一般的.” It all depends on your appeal.
If you’re turned down often, you may be lacking a little in appeal. If you’re often told yes, then I’d say you have that much charm.
Besides, if you receive the amount you were hoping for, you’ll probably feel that he’s a good man and want to treat him well while you’re together.
Ultimately, I think that will also increase the man’s satisfaction.

I don’t think 60,000 yen is high at all. It would be unreasonable to expect 100,000 yen or more from every man, but plenty of men can offer 60,000 yen.
