Question

Today, I happened to take a look at the number of new members. While the female membership itself has remained more or less unchanged due to the frequent turnover, the number of male members has increased significantly over the past year or so—from 2,000 to 3,000. Do you have any particular thoughts on the male-to-female member ratio? Or are you considering measures such as limiting the growth in male membership at some point, or increasing the number of female members? Also, can we assume that the number of offers is increasing along with the growth in male membership—in other words, that women are now more likely to receive offers?

Maezawa here with an answer. We don’t specifically adjust the male-to-female ratio. That said, I think the reason the number of female members has remained fairly steady is that while many women are joining, many are also leaving. The number of offers has increased, but since the total number of women using the service is quite large, I don’t feel that women have necessarily become more likely to receive offers. (That’s just based on my own impression, though.)
