I’ve always been drawn to girls who speak Kansai dialect, and although I live in Tohoku, I’m thinking of making an offer. Apparently, there are different types of Kansai dialect, but I’m not very familiar with them, so I’d appreciate some advice. Of Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, where is the dialect with expressions like “〜なん？” and “〜やん？” most commonly used?

I’m a man in my 60s, still trying to find my way. I’m originally from Osaka and currently live in Kyoto. I’ve also spent five years in Tohoku, as well as time in Kyushu and Hiroshima—each place has its own charm. The women in Tokyo and Nagoya are pretty great too… lol.

I went to a high school where half the students lived in Osaka, and at first I wasn’t used to their strong Kansai accents—I think there were times I nearly cried. But that’s not what you’re asking about, is it? You’re imagining women using a cute Kansai dialect, right? No worries there. I’m sure everyone will use their cutest Kansai dialect at first. I’ve never made an offer for asking for an allowance in Kansai, so I’m not really sure (^_^;)
