We broke up, reluctantly, because she wouldn’t agree to sex without a condom. I did what I could to be considerate as a man: a doctor’s certificate confirming I didn’t have an STI, a pledge not to have sex with any other women (including my wife—which I honored), using safe days together with the morning-after pill, and increasing her allowance. Even after taking all these precautions, was it still not acceptable?

I’m Saito, a columnist ♪ The questioner’s views on “going bare” are pretty shrouded in darkness, aren’t they? I don’t think this is a matter of putting on a nice face. If it were me, I’d do exactly what Takasaki suggested in their reply and cut him off quickly, just as the questioner said. That’s all there is to it. For someone who seriously works in the adult video industry, considering the shocking incident that happened recently, they may not want to go bare with a man who has unprotected sex with multiple amateur women he meets through a dating club. It’s best to assume that a man has his reasons for not telling you, and simply let it go without pressing him to “ask.” That kind of discretion is part of a good man’s manners—just accept it as such.
